━ Sebastian Monroy Taborda is a professor and researcher in the Department of Economics at ORT University, Uruguay. He earned his PhD in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota in the United States.

His research interests include macroeconomics, financial crises, inequality, labor markets, and skills. He has worked with the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank, participating in projects and various publications, and with the University of Chicago’s NORC, which collaborated on various evaluations of international aid projects. He also teaches International Financial Markets and is a member of the Principles of Economics department. ━
