of Economics at ORT University, Uruguay. He earned his PhD in Economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and a Master&#8217;s degree in Public Policy from the University of Minnesota in the United States.<\/p><p>His research interests include macroeconomics, financial crises, inequality, labor markets, and skills. He has worked with the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank, participating in projects and various publications, and with the University of Chicago&#8217;s NORC, which collaborated on various evaluations of international aid projects. He also teaches International Financial Markets and is a member of the Principles of Economics department.
